Welcome to the 2012 season I hope you will continue to follow the Youth Club events though the Courier.
The Cricket, Baseball will be having a break as they are summer sports, the Swimming will be joining them after the RSL State Championships at Ulladulla 10th March.
In April the Rooty Hill RSL Youth Club with Seven Hills Toongabbie RSL Youth Club will be hosting 30 Reciprocal Students from New Zealand. They will be joining the hosting Youth Clubs in their hosting RSL Sub-Branch’s Anzac March.
Congratulations to Sue Maude on her dedication for compiling all the information for the FUJ Tinkler Shield Memorial Shield, this is a special RSL competitions for Youth Clubs. The result was first place Miranda, Second place Hornsby, Third place Rooty Hill. Well done to all Youth Club members.Secretary Gloria King
ROOTY HILL RSL YOUTH NETBALL REPORT
APRIL will be a very busy month for our Netball and the Youth Club asour 2012 Netball season will commence mid April.We will participate in the Opening day march and have a fundraising stall on this day.Our teams are all training hard and are looking forward to the start of the season.We enjoyed our Netball Gala Day that was held in late March, all teams gained experience and enjoyed meeting each others families on the day.Our Umpires also found the day rewarding as their Umpiring skills developed. Our Coaches were pleased also, finding new positions for their team members and watching their player’s ball skills improve. The Rooty Hill RSL Anzac March is on Sunday 22nd April and the Youth Club is hoisting the 2012 Reciprocal tour group on this week-end.We wish all a great year and hope all enjoy the season.

YOUTH CLUB BASEBALL
It has come to the end of another summer season for the baseball. A lot of fun was had by all who came and played the sport. We had 9 teams this 2011/2012 season.1 under 7’s team, 1 under 8’s team, 2 under 10’s teams, 2 under 12’s teams, 1 merged under 14’s team, 1 merged under17’s team and 1 Senior’s team.Thanks go out to all the wonderful helpers, coaches, umpires, managers, scorers and canteen helpers who have supported the club through the season. A big thank you to all the enthusiastic parents who have supported their children brought them to the games and training sessions throughout the 2011/2012 season. We will be having our end of season presentation in the next few weeks to cap off the 2011/ 2012 summer season.
