LACHLAN BRYAN, THE WEEPING WILLOWS & SPECIAL GUESTS BRING NEW AND OLD COUNTRY AND FOLK TO ROOTY HILL
Golden Guitar Winning Country singer songwriter Lachlan Bryan and four times Golden Guitar nominated country-folk duo The Weeping Willows are teaming up for a series of shows in small theatre-style venues around the country.
With a full scale band in tow and special guests in each state, these will be unique shows filled with tales of the road, songs from each artist’s catalogue and a collection of the classic songs that inspired both Lachlan and The Weeping Willows to pursue life on the road as touring artists.
About the artists:
Lachlan Bryan, with his band The Wildes, won the 2014 Golden Guitar for Best Alt Country Album and the 2014 Music Victoria Award for Best Country Album. He has opened for the likes of John Hiatt, Steve Earle and Shawn Colvin and performed at festivals all around Australia and the world. Lachlan is known as a storyteller and recent album The Mountain was described as a “genre-spanning document of Australian songwriting at its thrilling, heartbreaking, captivating best” (Country Update).
The Weeping Willows were nominated for 4 Golden Guitars this year for their breakthrough album Til Darkness Comes A Callin. The album received rave reviews in Rolling Stone, The Australian, Country Update and many more, thanks to the timeless nature of their songs and the stunning blend of their two vocals. Live, The Weeping Willows are a thing to behold, with fine musicianship and the kind of chemistry you might have seen with Johnny Cash and June Carter, or Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, all those years ago.
