ABBA fans, it’s time to get excited!
Bjorn Again, the world’s leading ABBA show, are thrilled to be returning to Rooty Hill on Saturday 30th December 2017 to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of ABBA’s Australian Tour of 1977.
Spread the word
This year marks the 40th Anniversary of ABBA’s first and only tour of Australia which took place over 2 weeks in March 1977, playing 11 shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth to over 160,000 people. ABBA’s travelling entourage was a massive 117 people which included 34 musicians and singers. Tickets were $9.50 and $12.50, expensive at the time as most other concerts were around $5. During the tour they filmed footage which became ‘ABBA-THE MOVIE’.
In Sydney ABBA performed 2 shows at The Sydney Showgrounds on the 3rd and 4th March. Each show was attended by 50,000 people – were you one of these people? The shows were remembered by massive rainfalls and in fact Frida slipped over on stage during ‘Waterloo’. Another trivia fact is that ABBA stayed at The Sebel Townhouse in Elizabeth Bay.
Bjorn Again will commemorate the event by performing all the biggest hits from that once in a lifetime tour – songs include Tiger, Fernando, Waterloo, Rock Me, Money Money Money, SOS and of course Dancing Queen.
This will be a great night for Bjorn Again and ABBA Fans – Don’t miss it!
