Discover the very best Rooty Hill RSL has to offer.

Amber Lawrence is an award-winning singer-songwriter like no other. Fresh off the back of three Golden Guitars at the Tamworth CMAA awards this triple threat artist is joined by good friends Christie Lamb and Micky Pye to bring their unprecedented talent to Rooty Hill RSL on June 29th.

Amber Lawrence
Taking out ‘Female Artist of the Year’ is no mean feat, especially considering the calibre of her fellow nominees, who included Kasey Chambers and Lyn Bowtel. Amber’s recent success comes off the back of the launch of her 4th album “Superheroes”.

Superhero debuted at number 3 on the ARIA Country Charts and was launched to a sold-out crowd at Sydney’s iconic venue ‘The Basement’ in September 2014. Superheroes include the hit singles ‘Superhero’ and ‘The Lifesaver’ (which was also awarded Contemporary Lyric of the Year at the 2015 Bush Laureate Awards).

Selling out shows and converting people to her style of country music is nothing new for this Sydney city girl and former Qantas accountant. Her ability to engage audiences and tell stories has kept her on the road and working hard for the past 9 years!

Christie Lamb
Christie Lamb has been described as ‘the full package’, a vibrant multi-instrumental award-winning singer-songwriter.

The talented songstress was voted ‘CMC New Oz Artist of the Year 2015’ by Australian Country Music Fans and has followed on from this success to receive the most prestigious award in Australian Country Music, a Golden Guitar for ‘CMAA New Talent of the Year 2016’.

Her second album, ‘Loaded’, was released via ABC Music early 2017 and scored a #2 placing on the ARIA Country Albums Chart in amongst some very high profile releases. Christie’s debut album ‘All She Wrote’ also debuted at #2 on the ARIA Australian Artist Country Chart in 2014 following her sold-out album Launch in Sydney.

The album hit #1 on the Aria Hit Seekers Album Chart (All Genres) and the subsequent five radio releases spurned three #1 hit singles and two top 5 singles.

Christie has been touring relentlessly, not only with her own dates but also with Lee Kernighan for the past 3 years. She has also previously joined Aussie Rock legend Jon English for ‘The Rock Revolution’ tour, Amber Lawrence and Aleyce Simmonds for ‘The Girls of Country’ tour, plus The Wolfe Brothers for the ‘This Crazy Life’ tour, playing many sold out shows and rapidly building further on her constantly expanding fan base.

Mickey Pye
Mickey Pye is a 25-year-old Australian country artist from the small town of Oberon in NSW. Having toured extensively as a guitarist for some of Australia’s biggest country acts including Beccy Cole, Tania Kernaghan, Travis Collins and Jayne Denham, Mickey is a well-respected musician in the industry and one of the most exciting young artists coming through the ranks.

Mickey began working as a freelance guitarist in the Australian country music scene, playing for a long list of artists including Jayne Denham, Chelsea Basham, Kaylee Bell, Amber Lawrence, Christie Lamb and Tori Darke, before becoming a regular member of  Travis Collins’ touring band, as well as Tania Kernaghan’s , and most recently, Beccy Cole’s band.

Mickey first struck the industry’s eye as an artist when he won the Gympie Muster’s Maton Talent Search in 2009. Since then, Mickey has played some of the biggest stages in the Australia and Canada and has developed a large following. Clocking up over 150 gigs a year, Mickey is one of the hardest working live performers in the scene, and the industry looks forward to the release of his debut album, soon to come.
