To mark the release of stellar 10th studio album The Nashville Tapes, celebrated entertainer and country music purist Adam Harvey is set to take his all-new touring show on the road in the coming months.
Taking out ‘Female Artist of the Year’ is no mean feat, especially considering the calibre of her fellow nominees, who included Kasey Chambers and Lyn Bowtel. Amber’s recent success comes off the back of the launch of her 4th album “Superheroes”.
Superhero debuted at number 3 on the ARIA Country Charts and was launched to a sold-out crowd at Sydney’s iconic venue ‘The Basement’ in September 2014. Superheroes include the hit singles ‘Superhero’ and ‘The Lifesaver’ (which was also awarded Contemporary Lyric of the Year at the 2015 Bush Laureate Awards).
Selling out shows and converting people to her style of country music is nothing new for this Sydney city girl and former Qantas accountant. Her ability to engage audiences and tell stories has kept her on the road and working hard for the past 9 years!
Christie Lamb has been described as ‘the full package’, a vibrant multi-instrumental award-winning singer-songwriter.
The talented songstress was voted ‘CMC New Oz Artist of the Year 2015’ by Australian Country Music Fans and has followed on from this success to receive the most prestigious award in Australian Country Music, a Golden Guitar for ‘CMAA New Talent of the Year 2016’.
Her second album, ‘Loaded’, was released via ABC Music early 2017 and scored a #2 placing on the ARIA Country Albums Chart in amongst some very high profile releases. Christie’s debut album ‘All She Wrote’ also debuted at #2 on the ARIA Australian Artist Country Chart in 2014 following her sold-out album Launch in Sydney.
The album hit #1 on the Aria Hit Seekers Album Chart (All Genres) and the subsequent five radio releases spurned three #1 hit singles and two top 5 singles.
Christie has been touring relentlessly, not only with her own dates but also with Lee Kernighan for the past 3 years. She has also previously joined Aussie Rock legend Jon English for ‘The Rock Revolution’ tour, Amber Lawrence and Aleyce Simmonds for ‘The Girls of Country’ tour, plus The Wolfe Brothers for the ‘This Crazy Life’ tour, playing many sold out shows and rapidly building further on her constantly expanding fan base.
